About Me

Mrs Marsha's Munchkins is owned and operated by me, Mrs. Marsha of course!!! I offer full time and part time programs for ages 6 weeks to 12 years, including before and after school care.

I am the mother of three daughters, I have a B.S. Degree in Business Management, and

I have worked with children for over 15 years. I have owned/operated my in-home daycare for 13 years.

Mrs. Marsha's Munchkins has an open door policy. We will build an honest and comfortable relationship to ensure the your child is safe and happy while you are away.

MISSION STATEMENT:

The mission on Mrs Marsha's Munchkins is to provide safe, affordable, high quality childcare to the community. I provide a secure, nurturing, and educational enviornment: a place for your child to grow and bloom.

GOALS FOR YOU ~ THE PARENT:

To develop a good working relationship and friendship so that you may go to work/school and focus on that, knowing your child is in a safe and loving enviornment.

Hours of operation:

6am- 5:30pm Monday-Friday

Closed Saturday and Sunday

(with the exception of the occasional parents night out)

Daily Schedule (example)

(Schedule is subject to change on a daily basis depending on weather and other factors)

Arrival: Most children arrive between 6am-7:30am. During this time, the children usually settle in and have free time to play or watch educational videos

Breakfast: is usually served around 7:45am and last until about 8:15am

Free Play: Music, dancing, and free play usually follow breakfast to help the children settle down and prepare for their day

Story Time/Circle Time: there is usually an hour of story time/circle time. This might last from 9am to 10am. This Time will include story time and educational activities

Snack: is served around 10:30am

Recess: Children will enjoy recess from 11am to 12:30pm. If weather permits, the children will play outside. If not, motor skills and activities are enjoyed inside. Please bring the appropriate clothing (according to the weather) on a daily basis.

Clean up: After recess, it is time to clean up toys and the children!

Lunch: is served at around 1pm

Naptime: will follow lunch and will last from around 1:30pm to 3:30pm. This will be quiet time for the children who do not fall asleep. They may read, rest quietly, or color.

Afternoon Snack: is served around 3:30pm when the kids awake from their nap

Instructional Activities/Crafts: These activities might include the alphabet, coloring, painting, reading, sculpting with play doe or moon sand, etc, and will last from about 4pm to 5pm

Free play: Children will be allowed to choose an activity to finish out their day.

Pick up: All children will be picked up no later then the scheduled pick up time

The structure after 6pm becomes a little more like a family setting. There will be no scheduled activities.

Diapers will be changed and potty breaks will occur on an as needed basis!
